Fairfield Inn by Marriott is now officially under construction. The 92-room hotel, which will be located on SR 56 just north of the Audi dealership, recently broke ground on their building. This exciting addition to Wiregrass Ranch is expected to be completed Summer 2018. Stay tuned for updates!

Dimmitt Breaks Ground On Audi Wesley Chapel

Dimmitt Automotive Group recently broke ground on a brand new Audi dealership scheduled to open in November. The project is being referred to as Audi Terminal, and, as CEO Scott Larguier explained “The entire facility is designed with the customer experience at its core.” The goal of the dealership is to provide Audi’s most innovative retail experience yet. Once inside, customers will not only be able to view the full line up of Audi vehicles, but will also be greeted with luxury lounges with leather club chairs and iPads. What customers will not see is the traditional array of sales desks and telephones. The dealerships goal is to provide a combination of elegant interaction and advanced technology.

The groundbreaking was held May 22 at site of the future dealership at 2500 Lajuana Blvd. in Wesley Chapel. When completed, it will be a 40,000 square foot open-area facility with a modern design.

Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel #1 Ranked Workplace

Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel is the top-ranked workplace in the large employer category on the Tampa Bay Times Top Workplaces 2017 list. This is the third time the hospital, which is just five years old, has made the annual list.

The hospital recently wrapped up a $78 million expansion project that added 62 new in-patient beds to the existing 83. The expansion created 111,993 square feet of new space and 10,834 square feet of renovation, which doubled operating room and emergency room areas. The hospital’s CEO, Denyse Bales-Chubb, credits the expansion to the tremendous rate of population growth Pasco County has seen in recent years.

Pasco County Approves Raymond James Financial Economic Development Agreement

Pasco officials have signed off on an amendment to an economic development agreement that paves the way for Raymond James Financial Inc.’s purchase of 65 acres in Wiregrass Ranch.

The Pasco County Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday morning unanimously approved the agreement between the county, Raymond James and Wiregrass Ranch Inc. The land is on state route 56 east of the Shoppes at Wiregrass retail development.

PHSC Ranks First in Nation

PHSCWalletHub analysts recently ranked Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC) as offering the highest return on educational investment among a cohort of 821 community colleges.  Also ranking first is Valencia College (FL); Coastline College (CA); Northern Oklahoma College (OK); Cochise County Community College District (AZ).

PHSC also received national rankings of 15th in the career outcomes category and 39th overall. “These numbers validate the good we are doing for the two counties we serve.  They also confirm we are diligent in our work to provide high quality, accessible and affordable educational opportunities within a diverse teaching and learning environment for students to achieve academic success,” said Timothy L. Beard, PHSC president.

Other significant WalletHub rankings include the Florida College System ranked fourth in the nation and the PHSC overall ranking of third among 28 Florida two-year colleges. “Our students have every reason to be proud of the college they attend,” said Beard.

To determine the best community colleges in the U.S., analysts compared 821 such institutions across three key dimensions, including: Cost & Financing, Education Outcomes and Career Outcomes. According to WalletHub, data used to create these rankings were collected from the National Center for Education Statistics, Council for Community and Economic Research, and College Measures. Lennar opens new community at Wiregrass Ranch in Pasco County

The Arbors at Wiregrass Ranch offers a mix of single-family homes and townhomes in a vibrant live-work-play community

 

The Arbors at Wiregrass Ranch

Wesley Chapel, Fla.  – Lennar is now selling homes in The Arbors at Wiregrass Ranch, the newest area in the 5,000-acre Wiregrass Ranch, a master planned community that offers a hometown feel in a fast-growing submarket. Adding to a mixed-use community that has been thoughtfully planned to maintain the quaint feeling of a small town, Lennar is building single-family homes and townhomes.

The community, developed by the Porter family, is located approximately 20 miles northeast of Tampa, and is minutes away from I-75, I-275 and Tampa International Airport.

One of the first buyers in The Arbors is the Moore family, who are moving into their new house this summer after relocating from Michigan. After looking for a house for 2 1/2 years in several cities and touring more than 70 homes, they found Lennar’s three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bathroom, 2,204-square-foot Magnolia model to be the perfect fit for their young and active family.

“The layout of the home was different than any other home we saw while looking to move to Florida. We loved the spacious, open floorplan, and the detached garage connected by a breezeway adds a level of privacy that you don’t always find in residential communities,” Traci Moore said. “This home was exactly what we were looking for.”

Lennar’s single-family homes in The Arbors range from 1,982 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, to 2,462 square feet with four bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms. Each home has a detached two-car garage behind the house with an open-air breezeway that connects to the home, also serving as outdoor living space.

In addition to the right floorplan, the Moores also found The Arbors to have everything they were looking for: A-rated schools for their two young children, a quick drive to their favorite place – the beach – and many dining options to satisfy their “foodie” cravings.

Each home in The Arbors is also part of Lennar’s “Everything’s Included” program. The homes come with GE stainless steel kitchen appliances, granite countertops, a high-efficiency heating and air conditioning system, and a large-capacity washer and dryer.

As construction continues, Lennar plans to build 207 homes in The Arbors, with prices starting in the high $200s for single-family homes and the high $100s for townhomes. The community’s townhomes range from 1,801 square feet to 2,466 square feet, each with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms and a two-car garage. Lennar also has future plans to build condos in the community.

Wesley Chapel Named ‘Best Job Market’ in Florida

PASCO COUNTY, FL – — Wesley Chapel is tops when it comes to the job market in Florida, according to WalletHub. The Washington, DC-based financial review website looked at 130 Florida cities, ranking Wesley Chapel first on its list of Best Florida Cities by Job Market. Lutz, Florida is ranked 16th, followed by Land O’ Lakes at 17th.

“I’m proud of the growth we’re seeing in Eastern Pasco County,” said Pasco County Commissioner Mike Moore. “Wesley Chapel’s distinction of Best Job Market in the state, along with strong showings from Lutz and Land O’ Lakes, is a testament to that growth.”

WalletHub considered several factors for the job market ranking – including number of job opportunities, employment growth, starting salaries and unemployment rate. When taking socioeconomic factors into consideration, such as average workday and commute time, WalletHub ranked Wesley Chapel 4th in the overall ranking for ‘Best Florida Cities for Finding a Job.’ Lutz and Land O’ Lakes are ranked 11thand 46th, respectively, on the overall list. Of the 130 cities included in the study, WalletHub also ranks Wesley Chapel as second for ‘Most Affordable Housing’ and third for ‘Lowest Unemployment Rate for High School Graduates.’
