When Wiregrass Ranch was established in 1942, its greatest asset was not the land or cattle. It was a vision. The James H. Porter family cared about more than ranching. On the very land where they raised cattle and grew citrus orchards, the Porters imagined a vibrant mix of residential neighborhoods, schools, greenspace, trails and premier institutions that could serve a growing family community for generations to come. Then they planted the seeds.
Today the Porters remain the stewards of Wiregrass Ranch, and their vision of a thriving family community is reality.
